Our ministry is unique as it combines Scripture, Catholic teaching, prayer, and music. Linda and I believe God’s Word can heal people’s hearts and bring them alive in faith. Our parish missions include such topics as Catholic identity, mercy, mountain-moving faith, agape love, forgiveness, community, discipleship, and commitment.
We invite people to a greater personal reform and holiness of life which will then lead to a strengthening of marriages, families, Church and society.
A Catholic parish is a haven where flesh is put to the word of God. A place where people can bring their joys and burdens while finding an environment of hope, love, and acceptance.
Through grace-filled evangelization efforts, Glenn Harmon Ministries will foster an experience of conversion and renewal in the heart which will lead to a more active living of Catholic life.
It is the mission of Glenn Harmon Ministries to…
Lent is a time for all of us to return to our Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit with humility, seeking and asking for forgiveness and reconciliation. Our journey back to God is possible only because God first journeyed to us.
Linda and I wish all of you a blessed, holy, and life-changing Lenten journey. May it be a New Beginning for each of you.
We would also ask for your prayers. We will be traveling giving 4 parish missions in 5 weeks. We would ask that you pray that our gracious Lord would use our efforts for His glory and honor and He would give us the physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina to do His work.
Please check our website often throughout Lent for updates regarding our travels.
Let us pray:
Merciful God,
you called us forth from the dust of the earth; you claimed us for Christ in the waters of Baptism. Look upon us as we enter these Forty Days bearing the mark of ashes, and bless our journey through the desert of Lent to the font of rebirth. May our fasting be a hunger for justice, our charity a making of peace, our prayers chants of humble and grateful hearts. All that we do and pray is in the name of Jesus, for in his cross you proclaim your love forever and ever.
Amen

Q: How long have you been doing parish missions/renewals?
My wife Linda and I have been in full-time ministry since 1992. We have traveled the United States and Canada giving over 550 Catholic parish missions, renewals, as well as retreats, conferences, seminars, and workshops. By faith, we are following a special and unique call of God to share the love of Jesus Christ and the blessings of our Catholic Church. Our message of unconditional love, hope, forgiveness, and faith is for all people in all places.
Q: What do you charge to give a parish mission/renewal?
We decided nearly 30 years ago that we would never charge a stipend or a fee to give a parish renewal. We simply take a love offering from those in attendance on the final night to support our ministry. We are a ministry of faith trusting in the Lord through His people to meet our needs.
Q: Are there any additional expenses to the parish?
Since our ministry operates completely on donations and love offerings, we ask the parish to pay our transportation expenses, rental car if necessary, as well as meals and lodging.
Q: What did you do before starting Glenn Harmon Ministries?
Before entering full-time ministry, I was Vice President of a major corporation. I also spent eight years as Director of the Office of Evangelization for the Diocese of Lake Charles, Louisiana. I was the former Chairman of the Louisiana State Evangelization Council and the host of the Catholic television program “Exploring the Issues."
Q: Are you a Catholic Deacon?
I completed my Diaconate studies in 2001 and also received my certification in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans. I have ordained a Permanent Deacon on December 1, 2001. I am currently a Deacon in good standing in the Diocese of San Bernardino, CA.
Q: What is your parish mission/renewal messages like?
I will answer that question by quoting a Pastor from a recent mission. "Deacon Glenn's style is not preachy. He shares appropriately his own journey of faith in such a way that he is able to touch the hearts of many. There is a simplicity and genuineness in his witness that makes it appealing, encouraging and challenging".
Q: How long have you been married?
Linda and I have been married for 51 years and we have 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-granddaughters.
Happy Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. We are so happy to be home to celebrate Holy Week in our own parish with family and friends. Thank you for all your prayers and support while Glenn & I had the busiest Lenten season since 2018. God moved mightily and blessed us and so many of His Children. We also celebrated our 52 nd anniversary on the road. I’m posting our Holy Week schedule for St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta in case anyone would like to come to any of these Liturgies. All are welcomed. Glenn was blessed to assist with Msgr. Tom for Palm Sunday vigil last night. He will also assist on Good Friday at the 5 pm service. May this Holy Week give you many blessed and Holy moments to draw you closer to the heart of God. May God bless you and all those you hold in your heart
Well, it is finished!
Linda and I completed our final parish mission in this 2022 Lenten season. We also celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary on the first night. What better way to celebrate our love for one another then to share the love of Jesus with our brothers and sisters in Christ. The mission was held at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Covina, CA.
The faith community was friendly, hospitable and eager to listen to the messages we shared. We are looking forward to some time off to relax, refresh and spend time with our family and friends.
We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for keeping us healthy as we traveled and it was humbling to see Him love, heal, forgive and bless all those who attended the missions.
We just completed a one-day, two-session Lenten mission at St Gregory the Great in San Diego. It was very well attended and our Lord blessed everyone.
I assisted as deacon and preached the homilies at 5 weekend Masses.
This parish has 3 amazing deacons and a great Pastor, Fr. Nick Clavin.
The faith community was friendly, engaging and eager for this one-day spiritual event.
Linda and I hope to return sometime in the future to give another mission
Linda and I just returned from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palm Desert, CA where we gave our first Parish Mission of this Lenten season.
Wow! What an amazing three days! The crowds were large and the people were eager to receive the best of what Jesus Christ had to offer. And as always, He didn’t disappoint.
Our gracious Lord poured out His abundant blessings and graces upon His children. The people were eager to receive His love, mercy, forgiveness, healing, joy, hope, and faith.
You could just feel and see the Holy Spirit touching the hearts and lives of the people. The people were also eager to purchase our books and CDs so they could listen and read the messages again as well as share it with family and friends.
We want to thank the Pastor, Fr. Gregory Elder for inviting us to Sacred Heart. We have known him for years and he is an amazing priest. He truly enjoys shepherding God’s faith community.
We also want to thank Betty Fernandez who was our contact person before and during the mission. She was eager to help us in any way. We hope to return someday to give a second mission at Sacred Heart.
In a few days, we leave for Lakeside CA to give our second mission at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. We can hardly wait to see what God has planned. Please pray for us and we will certainly pray for all of you.
Check back soon for more Lenten updates.
What a wonderful mission we had at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Aliso Viejo California. We had been there seven years ago and returned to do our latest mission called “New Beginnings Back To Basics” Father Tim sent out beautiful postcards to all registered members of the Parish inviting them to attend and we had a great turn out.
It was evident that there was a beautiful and strong movement of the Holy Spirit during the mission and we were all blessed by God. Thank you so much to Fr. Tim, the Staff & the friendly community that made us feel so welcomed and so blessed.
Please God continue to heal and bless your children in this faith community.
What pure joy we felt being back at St. Benedict Catholic church in Anchorage Ak last week. It was 3 years ago we were in this friendly and warm community. People were ready for this mission called “New Beginnings Back to Basics“ as many of us are looking for a new beginning in some part of our lives.
Besides having a lively group in the church they streamed all four sessions on their Facebook page St. Benedict Anchorage Ak (if you’re interested in viewing) with almost 200 people watching every session.
We met Fr. Tom Lilly, 15 years ago when we did our first mission in Alaska at St Elizabeth Ann Seton and have done 5 missions for him and his parishes. He’s an amazing priest and loves his parishioners as his own family. We are privileged to know and love this priest as well.
Thank you Jesus for your powerful move of the Holy Spirit at this parish.
May this Fourth week of Advent find you happy, healthy, and your heart filled with the joy of the Lord. During this advent time of waiting and preparing may your heart be more open to receive the love, hope, faith, mercy, grace & forgiveness that the Christ child wants to bring to you this coming Christmas morning. God bless you & your family
